Background
Education:
- BS (Santa Clara University (1973))
- PhD (University of Michigan (1980))
Research Interests:
Brian Conrey research is in Number Theory, especially the analytic theory of L-functions. The prototype of an L-function is the Riemann zeta-function, whose properties play an essential role in the study of prime numbers. L-functions arise in many arithmetic and geometric problems and understanding the basic properties of these L-functions, such as their value distribution and the location of their zeros, is often the key to solving these problems.
