In 1933, Dr. Bruno Lange founded his company in Berlin, Germany with a vision of making water analysis simpler. His innovation in water analysis led to breakthroughs in laboratory testing and allowed people without backgrounds in chemistry to run and understand various tests.
In 1947, Clifford and Kitty Hach were also reinventing water analysis in Ames, Iowa. Armed with an advanced understanding of analytical chemistry and a passion to make a difference, the founders set out to simplify water analysis. Clifford and Kitty were determined to make water analysis better so customers could get to their results faster, more easily, and with more information. With such similar passions for clear and simple water analysis, the two companies became one under the Danaher Life Sciences Group. Today, everything Hach does is still focused on the goal to help customers manage water across the globe.
Since our founding we have led the industry in developing innovative solutions to help our customers analyze their water more efficiently and more effectively.
