Hisense and QD Vision Launch 55” Curved Quantum Dot TV at SID Display Week

At SID Display Week, Hisense and QD Vision jointly launched a 55” curved quantum dot TV. The new K7100 integrates the ULED fine lighting technology and VIDAA3 intelligent operation system from Hisense, and Color IQ™ optics from QD Vision.

The highly anticipated new product delivers top image quality and intelligent control, and will be available at Chinese retailers this month.

As the largest TV manufacturer in China and the fourth largest worldwide, Hisense boasts world-class R & D capabilities and product quality, enabling the company to secure the top market position in flat panel televisions in China for 12 years in a row.

QD Vision is a global leader in quantum dot display technology and offers patented Color IQ optics to achieve greater than 100% NTSC color gamut. The company’s unique Color IQ edge-optic solution is designed to enable easy integration into any form factor display, including curved televisions, monitors and all-in-one computers.

The K7100 is the first curved television to incorporate Color IQ technology, delivering a breakthrough in LCD TV image quality in this unique form factor. Thanks to unparalleled color performance, the quantum dot technology is a preferred alternative to OLED TVs.

“The mainstream version of the ULED TV K7100 has integrated the newest display and intelligent technology,” said Mr. Jianwei Cao, Vice General Manager, Hisense Electric Company Ltd. “It’s application of quantum dot technology and perfect curved screen has allowed users to be immersed in a cinematically phenomenal audio-visual experience. Moreover, this product also has an economic benefit for customers.”

“Our Color IQ platform is designed to deliver extraordinary color quality, manufacturing versatility and design flexibility – all of which contributed to the development of this exceptional curved Hisense TV,” said Matt Mazzuchi, Vice President, Market and Business Development at QD Vision. “We welcome Hisense to our rapidly-expanding customer base, and look forward to a long and prosperous partnership.”

The K7100 is the first fruit of the partnership between Hisense and QD Vision, and both companies are cooperating on future technologies.
