CASIC and PKU Enter Partnership in Quantum and Other Advanced Technologies

China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) and PKU signed a strategic partnership agreement to provide framework for future cooperation.

At the signing ceremony, PKU President Zhou Qifeng and PKU Council Chairman Zhu Shanlu both attached great importance to the cooperation between PKU and CASIC. They spoke highly of its contributions to improving the national defense capabilities before expressing the hope to cement an enduring partnership with CASIC that could promote the development of national defense and higher education.

General Manager of CASIC Xu Dazhe also addressed at the ceremony. He said that PKU was a comprehensive university with worldwide fame. “It has educated many prominent people who exert great influence on the world’s development. These talents are what aerospace development needs.” Taking the strategic partnership agreement as a golden opportunity, he looked forward to strengthening current cooperation with PKU and further collaborating on cultivating talents as to contribute to national innovation system.

According to the agreement, the two parties will have close collaboration in many fields, including information technologies such as space probe, micro-electronics and quantum technology, as well as chemical engineering and advanced materials.
