  • MSc (1994) McMaster University (superfluidity, quantum Hall effect) 
  • PhD (1997) McMaster University (high-temperature superconductivity)

David came to the University of Calgary in the summer of 2002, in order to take up a position as assistant professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. He previously spent five years as a visiting scholar (from the University of Oxford and the University of Maryland, College Park) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, which is located in Gaithersburg, Maryland just outside Washington, D.C.
